There is bacteria living inside our digestive system, and Miss Flora keeps it in check.  Go Flora go!

If you took the digestive tract of an adult and laid it on the ground, it would cover a tennis court! Whaa?

It’s a huge area, open to invasion to anything from the environment.

But no fear, mother nature knew this and she helped a sister out.  She protected your digestive tract by covering every square millimeter of it with a thick band of bacteria: this is your gut flora.  #MotherNatureIsNailingIt

Christine Lakin’s Lentil Feta and Bruschetta Dip

My dear friend and Hostess with the Mostess, Christine Lakin, had a little shindig over the weekend and I showed up HUNGRY!

She had a delicious variety of appetizers on her kitchen counter and I spotted the lentil dip right away.

“Ooooh girl! What is this?!” I asked.

“It’s the BEST dip, you won’t believe how good it is!”  She said.

Well…I had my first taste of this magical dip, and that’s all I remember.

Before you reach for your morning bagel or donut… HOLD UP!!

Before you decide to skip your breakfast and suck down that coffee…WAIT A SEC!!

I never thought of gruel being gorgeous, but this recipe is so good, your body will say:

“Hey Gorgeous! Get in my belly!”

I eat this almost EVERY morning, and I add different stuff depending on my mood and what’s in my fridge, but this is my go-to gruel.

It’s filling, yummy, and so healthy.  Start your day right baby!
