Ok, in a perfect world, we’d have our own personal masseuse and yoga instructor right?

I’ve always been a high anxiety chick. No matter what I was doing, I was constantly thinking about the future or the past. Worry, anxiety, angst, bleh.

A year ago, I went to a meditation retreat and it changed my life.  I want to share with you what I learned.


Taking time everyday to sit your butt down and stop the craziness is the most important thing you can do for your health. You’ll live longer!

Just a few minutes of relaxation and meditation every day will calm you down, give you increased energy, improved concentration, lower your heart rate, amp up your immune system, and increase self confidence. I mean, it’s a no brainer right?

Ok, Let’s look at the cons.

  • Stress is a major cause of anxiety and depression. 
  • Stress damages relationships and contributes to unhappiness.
  • Stress has been linked to the 6 leading causes of death: heart disease, cancer, lung ailments, accidents, cirrhosis of the liver, and suicide.


So why doesn’t everybody and their dog practice meditation and relaxation?

Cause it can be a pain in the ass.

It takes practice and patience. I mean, we have so many other things that we need to do, phone calls to make, emails to write, bills to pay…oh wait.  See? There I go again.
